ECF calls for a clear distinction between bicycles and eletric vehicles

ECF supports the current EU definition of pedal electric cycles (pedelecs), set out in Directive 2002/24/EC, which limits the additional power provided by the motor to 250W and requires it to cut out when a maximum speed of 25 km/h is reached. More powerful vehicles shouldn't be treated as bicycles and, for obvious safety reasons, shouldn't be allowed on cycle paths.
