מאת ערן שחורי, 12/7/2014. נכתב במהלך מבצע "צוק איתן" בעקבות התקפות הטילים על ישראל. הטילים מעזה וההתחממות הגלובלית כשאנו מרגישים סכנה מוחשית ומיידית (לדוגמה: רקטות שנורות עלינו מעזה), אנחנו מוכנים להגן בחרוף נפש על הילדים והבתים שלנו, אבל כשיש סכנה שנתפשת כרחוקה בזמן ואינה מוחשית איננו עושים כמעט דבר. ההתחממות הגלובלית היא סכנה כזו. היא כבר משפיעה עלינו אבל השפעתה איטית ולכן איננו מייחסים לה את החשיבות הנדרשת. העיר מיאמי בארה"ב כבר מתחילה להרגיש את השפעותיה. עליית מי הים והצפת שכונות במיאמי זה מספיק מוחשי כדי לתת לבעיה את תשומת הלב שהיא ראויה לה? לכתבה מיאמי טובעת לחץ כאן Rockets from Gaza and Global Warming Written during the missile attacks from Gaza on Israeli cities, July 12, 2014 When we feel an immediate danger (as we feel now in Israel when rockets are fired towards our cities from Gaza), we are prepared to defend our children and houses fiercely.
